The Benn Smith Foundation

The foundation is in honour of a special young man who will always remain missed by members of Grass Roots Music. Benn always had a passion for two things, football and music and as none of us can kick a ball straight we decided that to keep Benn’s name and spirit with us we would use the opportunity to set something up that would help with allowing access to instruments and, at times tuition to young people showing a passion for music.

Grass Roots Music hold regular student nights and band nights to raise funds for instruments and also repair some damaged preloved instruments we are occasionally donated.
